shallos has great service and better beer, there are always new beers in each week. the staff hes great beer knowledge and there is a certain type of beer for each person. plus the french onion soup is the best ever!!!!

They claim to have the biggest beer selection in the midwest. I know of places with about the same amount and maybe slightly more but it's almost all in bottles with many being imports where Shallo's has a nice selection on tap and their bottle selection is more heavily micro's. I prefer local micro's over beer made in China so I didn't question them on that claim. Waiter wasn't the biggest beer drinker but was knowledgeable enough to make recommendations based on what the customer was looking for. THANK YOU! Would you order wine at a place that had 10 labels but the waiter couldn't tell you anything besides that some were red and some were white and that he didn't know what "dry" meant? The fact that this waiter did not drink much beer but could still speak about the product that he served impressed me because sadly this isn't always the case. The nachos were individually topped with meat and cheese to make them more shareable. Nice casual place to hang out, get a bite, and catch a game, try a new beer or revisit a hard to find favorite.

Shallos is a great place to sit and talk amongst friends. If you don't have any friends you will make them here. Staff and regulars are very friendly. Huge beer selection and get this the staff actually know about the beers. If you haven't been here what are you waiting for. Go today

Big beer selection, draught and bottle. English pub-ish character, much larger inside than you would imagine when entering. Construction in area very frustrating, but still worth the effort to get here.

I will add my kudos to those already listed. The selection of beer is second to none, they know what beer is about, and are willing to share their expertise. We only sampled the chips, but these were good. Well worth a repeat visit

So many beers so little time...
You can do an "Around the World" type thing where you get a beer from each country & get your name on a plaque on the wall.
Food is good & relatively inexpensive.
Servers really know their beers.

Anyone who complains about the selection doesn't like beer! It's immposible not to find a great beer when you have 500 to choose from. I'll be coming back here shortly!

Shallo's is more than home to over 500 bottles and 60 taps, it's also the supplier of the world's greatest onion rings. All the servers and bartenders really know their beers too. That's nice when you have so many to choose from.

Not really a brewpub/brewery. More like a typical bar but their selection of bottled brew and beer on tap is "staggering". Food selection is typical bar grub.
